Maryland Art Place is a not-profit center for contemporary art established in 1981 to: develop and maintain a dynamic environment for artists to exhibit their work; nurture and promote new ideas; and facilitate rewarding exchanges with the public through educational leadership. Since its inception, MAP has showcased the work of 7,000 artists in over 400 exhibitions—a testament to the institution’s dedication to promoting the talent of both emerging and established artists within our region.
